Coronavirus fear: Hamza Shahbaz move LHC for bail
Leader of the Opposition in Punjab Assembly, PML-N's Hamza Shehbaz on Saturday has moved the Lahore High Court seeking bail on grounds of "potentially deadly risk" of coronavirus.
In a petition submitted to the court through his lawyer Amjad Perviaz advocate, Hamza Shehbaz has said that the coronavirus pandemic has caused an alarming situation in Pakistan and even prisoners are exposed to the risk.
He has requested to grant him bail in assets beyond income case due to the potential risk being posed to him due to coronavirus pandemic.
The petitioner has made the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), DG NAB and investigating officer a party to it.
It is noteworthy, the National Accountability Bureau is investigating two different cases of corruption against Hamza Shahbaz. He was arrested on June 11, 2019 in money laundering and assets beyond income cases.
