APTMA: Industry can't run with electricity bill of Rs 20
The All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) has warned that if the textile industries have to pay electricity bills, including all surcharges, several mills in Punjab will be closed.
APTMA issued a statement on the export textile industries receiving electricity bills including surcharges saying that LESCO had sent all the subcharges to the textile mills would get electricity at Rs 20 per unit.
The statement further said that the Standing Committee of the National Assembly had prevented from receiving subcharges on electricity bills. But the bureaucracy is not following the Prime Minister's decisions, the government is failing.
Textile industries were paying bills of around Rs 12 per unit; electricity bills of Rs 20 per unit could not be run by the industry, said APTMA.
