Prime Minister Imran Khan assured the nation that begun an in-depth probe into flour and sugar price hike across the country and taking stern action against hoarders.

In a tweet, the prime minister said that the federal cabinet in its meeting on Tuesday would announce some drastic measures to give relief to the inflation-hit people.

At the same time all the relevant govt Agencies have begun doing an in-depth probe into the flour & sugar price hikes. The nation should rest assured that all those responsible will be held accountable & penalised.

He said, in the meantime, all relevant government agencies have begun a comprehensive investigation to find reasons for the increase in the prices of flour and sugar.

The premier said his government would ensure the provision of basic food items to the common man.

He added the government will provide ration to those who cannot afford to buy essential edibles and they will be facilitated through the Ehsaas programme.
