Two children died on Wednesday after allegedly consuming poisonous soup brought from a bazaar in Ibrahimkhel area of Tangi tehsil in Charsadda.

According to details, a family of five reportedly had poisonous soup which they purchased from a local market last night, soon after having soup, they started feeling unwell and rushed to the hospital where two children of them passed away.

The deceased have been identified as 12-year-old Taimur and 10-year-old Sania and the other three family members, including mother and two kids, are still under treatment in hospital.

The dead bodies of the deceased have been shifted to hospital for postmortem.

The food department officials also took a sample of the soup from the shop and sent them to lab for investigation.
