At least two policemen were martyred on Wednesday after unidentified gun men opened fire at a polio team in Kyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Lower Dir.

According to the police, the incident took place at the Rehnai pull area. The martyred policemen were deployed for the security in the ongoing polio vaccination campaign.

No officials from the polio vaccination team were hurt as they were at a distance from the firing. Security officials have launched an operation to apprehend the culprits behind this malicious attack.
