Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has reiterated that National Accountability Bureau is a sovereign institution and carrying out the accountability process independently.

Talking to private news channel, she said Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf came into power with the pledge to wipe out the menaces of corruption and money laundering, and recover the looted national wealth.

Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said the leadership of both the main opposition parties are being investigated for their corrupt practices and wrongdoings.

She said the PTI government always respected the courts' verdicts as the party has struggled for the independence of judiciary.
