ISLAMABAD: President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi approved a notification for the appointment of Justice Gulzar Ahmed as the new Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).

The president approved the notification summary as per article 175 a and article 177 of the constitution of Pakistan. The notification in this regard was issued by the law ministry.

The outgoing Chief Justice of Pakistan, Jusitce Asif Saeed Khosa is due to retire on 20th of this month.
