Blast in Lahore leaves seven injured
LAHORE: At least seven people were injured in Lahore after a rickshaw exploded near Chauburji on Multan Road, Geo News reported on Friday.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital. Two out of the seven are in a critical condition.
Bomb disposal squad officials said the rickshaw had nearly three kilograms of explosive material, adding that ball bearings were also found near the crime scene.
The rickshaw driver, in his statement, said that he had picked up a ride from the city’s Sherakot area and dropped it in the Samanabad area. He added the blast took place when he had gone to use the facilities.
Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into the blast.
