Web Desk: Cubillos del Sil’s park has been named campaigner for girls’ rights Malala Yousafzai by the request of 12-year-old school children.

According to the Bierzo TV reports that students started to participate in an activity related to International Women’s Day, two years ago. The student’s teacher noticed that there was no local area named after women. Then the school wrote letter to City Council to dedicate a place to a woman.

The council gave the right of choosing the place and name of the park to the student. Therefore, they decided to name the park in honor of Malala.
