Secrets of late Princess Diana's life that were hidden for years

WEB DESK: People's Princess, Diana (late) is widely liked by everyone even till date. Her sudden and sad demise left world in shocked. Grieving over precious loss, her children, family and people bid farewell to her years ago but her memory is still alive. 

Since she was people's Princess, they are deeply concerned about her life even about her failing marriage with Prince Charles. It is true that there are some facts of about her that were kept secret for years. Those facts were interlinked to her personal life which she audio recorded herself to let world know her story from her perspective.

She messed up her wedding vows

On her big day, she made messes which might be indication of an 'unsuccessful marriage' or they may be just wedding day jitters. However, amongst those vows, she called her husband's name wrong, "Philip Charles" instead of "Charles Phillip".

She and her husband were related

Very few knew this fact that Princess and Prince Charles were related but distantly. The tree of Royal family isn't easy to understand but they were 16th cousins once removed through King Henry VII.

She recorded her thoughts on tape

We may not be able to learn about her personal life if she hadn't recorded these audios. It is said that she realized at earliest stage of her marriage that it wouldn't work. So, she recorded every deep secret and give it to her closest and trusted friend, Dr. James Colthurst. He send those tapes to journalist Andrew Morton to let people know about their princess's troubling life. Also, the published biography, DIANA: Her True Story—In Her Own Words in 1992 was made out of those recordings.
She ate in the kitchen

Princess Diana broke several royal rules. And one of them was eating with staffers in the kitchen and not in dining room. Her personal chef, Darren McGrady while recalling past events said,"she would just walk into the kitchen and eat at a countertop while he tidied up, which was unheard of coming from any royal. She would even make coffee for the two of them."
She attempted suicide

She must had gone through some really heart wrenching moments that made her to attempt suicide. She revealed in one of those tapes that she was going through depression and once tried to take her life. Late Princess said,"I was so depressed, and I was trying to cut my wrists with razor blades.” She also talked about having bulimia and that the eating disorder started after Prince Charles put his hand on her waist and said, “A bit chubby here, aren’t we?" 
She was harassed by the paparazzi

It was revealed by her sons, Prince William and Harry. She had involved both into charitable work. And while recalling memories of their mother, at an event, Prince William revealed,"If you are the Princess of Wales and you’re a mother, I don’t believe being chased by 30 guys on motorbikes who block your path, who spit at you to get a reaction from you and make a woman cry in public to get a photograph, is appropriate. Harry and I, we had to live through that."
