Pak warns India of 'befitting response' as DGMOS make hotline contact
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army on Monday warned India of more strong and effective measures in case of any deliberate attempt to target Pakistani side of the Line of Control (LoC).
The warning came from Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Pakistan Major General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, during his weekly hotline contact with his Indian counterpart today.
Mirza notified Pakistan’s demarche to his Indian counterpart to protest deliberate targeting of Pakistan Army’s vehicle, resulting in martyrdom of four soldiers and injuring one soldier and a civilian passerby.
He emphasized the importance of controlling tactical actions of under-command troops, since these indiscretions can potentially spiral major standoffs.
He said such acts have the potential to escalate, which will be extremely detrimental to peace and stability. — Radio Pakistan
