Two members are enemies of Nawaz: Kirmani
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Asif Kirmani on Saturday said there are two members of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) who are "enemies of Nawaz Sharif".
Kirmani alleged that everyone knows where the sympathies of State Bank of Pakistan's Amer Aziz and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) representative Bilal Rasool lie.
He further said that the relationship between Imran Khan and the JIT is well known. "Imran is trying to come in power with JIT's support," claimed the special assistant to the prime minister.
He also raised questions over the selection of JIT members and asked if it was a coincidence or not. Referring to Qatar's prince, Kirmani said the JIT report will remain incomplete without Al-Thani's statement as he was the main witness in the case. "The people will reject such an incomplete report," said Kirmani. The final report from the JIT, formed under orders of the Supreme Court to probe the finances of the first family, will be submitted on July 10.
