SIALKOT : Punjab government has finalised necessary arrangements for `Vegetable Growth' project and setting up new state of the art vegetable markets in the province.

Sources in Agriculture department told APP on Thursday that the basic concept of this proposed programme is to provide fresh and good quality vegetables to consumers at reasonable rates.

Special attention under the plan would be given to setting up clusters  for processing,grading and packing of vegetables in accordance with the international standards to ensure availability of fresh vegetables for the consumers.

Special measures were being taken for bringing revolutionary changes in existing marketing system for resolving the problems confronted by growers and brokers in the province.-APP
