Fire in Landhi garments factory extinguished
KARACHI:Â Â The erupted fire in the Landhi industrial area of the metropolis on Friday afternoon has finally been extinguished after eighteen hours, Aaj News reported.Â
According to fire brigade, twelve fire tenders and a snorkel was busy in tending the fire with water and foam, which has spread to all three floors. The fire got controlled after efforts of 18 hours however the cooling process is underway.
The fire is termed the third degree fire and efforts were under way to douse it. Due to the intensity of the fire, fire brigade officials cannot enter the building at that time.
No loss of life has been reported as of yet however millions of factory goods has become ashes reportedly. Only a few workers were present in the factory when the fire broke out and they were able to escape unhurt. Police reached the site after the fire erupted.
Due to the fire, the other part of the building can collapse anytime reportedly.
