ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Ch. Nisar Ali Khan has said that over seventy billion rupees have been spent on capacity building of Rangers and FC during the last one and a half year.

Talking to mediapersons in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said the two para-military forces have been prepared to take up internal security responsibilities from Pakistan Army.

He said despite launching of operation Zarb-e-Azb, the former Army Chief spared about 34,000 troops for internal security duties.  Most of them have now been sent back and presently about 10,500 are deployed for internal security in different parts of the country.

The Interior Minister said the first batch of Rapid Response Force has completed its training and another batch of 447 would be imparted training soon.

To a question he said action against traffic violations would be taken including those against foreign diplomats.

Responding to another question, the Interior Minister said he would recommend to the Federal Cabinet to make Abbottabad Commission report public. He said Abbottabad incident was a grave violation of Pakistan's sovereignty.

Replying a question, Ch. Nisar Ali Khan said those talking about Panama Papers are forgetting about naming of their close relatives in the Leaks and corruption stories about their families and leadership.

Ch. Nisar Ali Khan told a questioner that PPP's claim to launch a drive against corruption would temtamount to BJP announcing a campaign to safeguard rights of Muslims in India.

Asked about sending of Sindh IG on forced leave, the Interior Minister said the IG was an honest officer who contributed a lot towards restoration of peace in Karachi.
