Yadgar-e-Shuhada design for APS victims
ISLAMABAD: Yadgar-e-Shuhada design for Army Public School (APS) victims has been prepared in Peshawar's Archives Library.
According to a private news channel, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government while attributing the archives library with the names of martyrs announced to built the Yadgar-e-Shuhada there. Library administration has said the design of the Yadgar-e-Shuhada has been prepared whereas the inauguration of the construction work would be done by Chief Minister KP Pervez Khattak during this month. Presently, Rs 660 million has been allocated for the
project.
"There is no better choice than pen and book because it has great importance in Islam therefore we have placed three pens and a book in the design," said Director General Archives and Library Zahirullah.
Yadgar-e-Shuhada would be three-dimensional in which the names of martyrs can be seen from all the three sides.
On the front side of the library `Shuhada APS Library' would be inscribed with copper.
"Order has been placed and as the project is being constructed from developmental funds therefore' there is much
codal formalities which takes time," Zahirullah said.
The civilians have widely admired the project of naming the library after the martyrs.
On December 16, 2014, seven millitants attacked the Army Public School (APS), claiming more than one hundred and fifty lives. Among them, 132 were innocent students. -APP
