Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) today

KARACHI: Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) is being celebrated in the metropolis and other parts of the country with religious fervour and enthusiasm today.

Various religious, social, academic and political organisations are holding a number of programmes on the occasion to celebrate the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

The main procession of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal in Karachi will start from Memon Masjid and culminate at Nishter Park. The Sindh police have made elaborate security arrangements on the occasion.

The radio, television are airing special programme to mark the occasion, while newspapers also published special supplements in this regard.

More than 47,000 police officers and jawans (troops) are performing security duty in Sindh on 12th Rabiul Awwal.

Meanwhile, the city streets, buildings and places of worships have been illuminated and decorated with flags and buntings.

The District Municipal Corporations (DMC) has made arrangements for the cleanliness and provision of civic amenities especially along the routes of the main procession of Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

The Minister of Water and Power has directed that there should be no routine loadshedding on the occasion.
