Pakistan Army is world's best Army, COAS

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif said Pakistan's Army was always ready to serve and it is the world's best army on Friday, Aaj News reported. 

According to ISPR sources, COAS did farewell visit of 10 corps Rawalpindi where he was welcomed by Lieutenant General Malik Zafar Iqbal.

The COAS lauded and paid tribute to the officers and personnel over their sacrifices.

Earlier, the farewell meeting was held between United States ambassador to Pakistan David Hale and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif.

As reported, The US ambassador met COAS Raheel Sharif at the general headquarters. David Hale appreciated the role of Pakistan Army on war against terrorism.

Sources revealed that the diplomat said,"Pakistan remained victorious in war against terrorism under General Raheel's supervision".

Whereas General Raheel Sharif also talked to journalists while leaving for Okara, he said,"I have faith that nation will fight against terrorists and this pure land will soon get rid of the plague of terrorism", reportedly.

Regarding his retirement, the COAS said that,"The decision was made in favor of motherland however I would be available to serve the country".
