Justice (Retd) Saeed uz Zaman appointed as new Governor of Sindh
KARACHI: Dr. Ishrat ul Ibad was replaced after serving for 14 years as Governor of Sindh. Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Saeed-uz Zaman Siddiqui was appointed as the new governor of Sindh, Aaj News reported.
As reported, the decision of governor's replacement was made in a meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain.
Later Mamnoon Hussain issued the notification.
The new governor of Sindh, Saeed-uz Zaman Siddiqui is a retired Chief Justice of Supreme Court. He will be the 30th Governor of the province reportedly.
Sources further revealed that the replacement came under the consideration after Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chief Mustafa Kamal made serious allegations against Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad.
