Army chief confirms death sentences of 10 'terrorists'
RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif Thursday confirmed death sentence of another ten ‘hardcore terrorists’.
According to the ISPR, the convicts were involved in heinous offences related to terrorism, including killing of innocent civilians, polio workers, NGO employees, police officials and armed forces personnel.
Fire-arms and explosives were also recovered from their possession, said the ISPR.
The convicts, tried by military courts, included: Muhammad Shahid Omar son of Zaman Khan, Hussain Shah s/o Fazal-e-Hadi, Zafar Iqbal s/o Muhammad Khan, Anwer Zeb s/o Tootkay, Obaid ur Rehman s/o Fazal Hadi, Sher Alam s/o Hanif ur Rehman, Atta Ullah s/o Muhammad Sultan, Mushtaq Khan s/o Saeed Gul and Asghar Khan s/o Nadar Khan and Shams ul Qamar s/o Sha Gulbar.— Radio Pakistan
