Seven militants killed in Tirah Valley air strike
At least seven militants were killed during security forces' air strikes carried by jet fighters in parts of Tirah valley of tribal Khyber Agency.
The security forces' sources said as part of Khyber 3 military action in parts of Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency, the forces conducted aerial strikes on hideouts of militants in Kando, Gharibai and Kharaiba area of Koki Khel tribe in Tirah Valley.
Sources revealed the jet fighters pounded strongholds of suspected militants in the remote area and destroyed three their hideouts in the air offence.
After purge operation launched by the troops in the tribal belt, most of militants including volunteers of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Bara base defunct Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) and other outfit organizations fled lower Bara areas and took refuge in Tirah Valley.
In the month of August, the forces have launched a full-fledged cleanup operation under Khyber 3 in the area to wipe out militancy of the area.
