WEB DESK: The news about Indian producers banning Pakistani artists for life has created a buzz around the world, a step taken after Uri attack in order to show "solidarity" to the nation. But the question that gets our attention is, will Bollywood be able to survive without the likes of Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan?

In response to the ban on Pakistani artists in Bollywood, Pakistan has imposed a ban on Indian movies to be released and shown in the country. The question still remains, by imposing such bans, who will be facing more loss?

The artist who have concerts lined up all around the world, or the movies which would not have been so famous if "Dillagi", "Mitwa", "Mein Rang Sharbaton Ka", "Afghan Jalebi" or "Tere Bin" were not included in it.

Yes, you may have a lot of acting talent, but when it comes to your famous songs, mostly are sung by Pakistani artists as such Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Asrar, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Uzair Jaswal or Mustafa Zahid.

Without Bollywood Pakistani actors are doing just fine. With Pakistani film industry rising with such speed, the Pakistani film industry will be up to mark with rest of the world.

Before Fawad Khan became India's Yuvraj Vikram Singh Rathore, he was Pakistan's Ashar and Zaroon. Please, do not forget who gave him fame and where he came from, as he certainly does not forget it.

Bollywood certainly helped the careers of the artist as they flourished greatly, but Pakistani artists also helped giving Bollywood songs fame just as much.

However, it is not just Bollywood that provides a platform for these Pakistani actors. Fawad, Ali and Mahira have been simultaneously working on Indian and Pakistani projects.

They even have a few films lined up at home, apart from the ones in Bollywood. Among them are Alamgir biopic Albela Rahi and Maula Jatt 2. Singers Atif and and Rahat, too, have projects in Pakistan and they even perform at concerts the world over.

So our two cent about India giving fame to the Pakistani artists is that they are doing just fine without Bollywood movies, but the music industry may not.

Recently the concerts of Pakistani singers Shafqat Amanat Ali and Atif Aslam scheduled in Bengaluru and Gurgaon respectively have been cancelled.

IMPPA president TP Aggarwal has reportedly replaced Rahat from his upcoming film Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana.
