WEB DESK: Did you know that old bottles can be tweaked into interesting pieces of decor? They not only look appealing, but add charm to your room, too. Try these.

Bottle Art

Plain bottles are meant to be painted. Pick an art form of your choice, clean the bottle, and start painting. If something goes wrong, you can wipe it off and there won't be any trace. A glass painting kit or even acrylic paints work.

Fairy lights in your bottle

If you are bored of letting those fairy lights hanging on the curtain rods or across a wall, put them inside a bottle instead! This, again, is an easy process. Take colourful bottles, or paint an old bottle.

Gather your fairy light together and put them inside the bottle. You can either cut the base of your bottle or insert them through the opening itself. Plug it to a nearby switch and your fairy lights bottle is ready and glowing!

Bottle vase

If bottle plants are too cumbersome for you, keep a bottle vase in your room. All you have to do is to pick some fresh flowers everyday and fill the vase. Ensure you fill it with a little water, so that it's fresh. But remember that flower arrangement is an art. Cut the stem of all the flowers to a similar length, bunch them up artistically.

Bottle holders

Empty bottles make for good holders, too. You can keep them on your tables and in the kitchen to stock pens, brushes and other stationery items. If you don't like it plain, paint them or wrap colorful tapes around them.
