People from various walks of life pay tributes to Sattar Edhi
KARACHI: People from various walks of life have paid rich tributes to eminent social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi who served the cause of humanity both locally as well as internationally.
A prominent social worker, Ramzan Chhipa, recounted the services of the deceased. He said that impressed by Edhi Saheb's immense contribution, he also launched the Chhipa Ambulance Service.
Sattar Edhi was running one of the biggest private networks of ambulances.
Iftikhar Ghazali, chief of Sahar Foundation, also eulogized the contributions of Sattar Edhi for the cause of humanity.
Singer Shahzad Roy also paid rich tributes for the social services of Sattar Edhi. The Chief Executive of TDAP, S.M. Muneer, industrialists Aqeel Karim Dedhi, Arif Habib, Dr. Ramesh Khumar MNA, also paid tributes to Sattar Edhi who adopted abandoned children, set up shelter homes, arranged marriages of the poor girls, provided food to the needy, and established clinics for the poor.
He also participated in the relief and rescue work in the case of earthquakes, flood as well as other natural calamities at home as well as abroad. - APP
