WEB DESK: Irked by the response from Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly, Shehla Raza, who refuses to acknowledge the Chairman of Sindh Censor Board, Fakhr-e-Alam, who demanded security of the same level of the politicians for the artists after demise of Amjad Sabri, was highly criticized for it, tendered his resignation to the CM Sindh.

In his resignation, he named personal reasons to quit the post he was given to by the same party whose leader went on and refused to recognize him.

In his official Twitter account he gave in his letter of resignation, he said, "“I Fakhr-e-Alam submit my resignation from the position of chairman Sindh Board of Film Censorship because of personal reasons and hereby relinquish my charge with immediate effect,” read the actor’s resignation which he posted on Twitter.

"I was appointed on MP 1 status which entitled me to a salary, home allowance, official vehicle etc, however I did not take any benefit financial or otherwise whatsoever and performed my duties voluntarily,” Alam said in his letter.
