How to lose weight in Ramazan? Try these easy tips
WEB DESK: The peace and tranquility that Ramazan bring is soothing and satisfying in its own way. The blessing this month holds is countless and no month is better to be closer to the God. As much as this month holds the significance and not denying the fact that Ramzan should be all about Ibadah, it is also a month of indulging on variety of food.
So, as soon as we hear the calling for Maghrib, we, by all means, attack the food that has been prepared for Iftar. It is understandable that after whole day of fasting, we gulp and eat whatever we can. Although it should also be understandable that after the whole day of fasting the metabolism slows down and that results in weight gaining.
So why not skip the fried food and choose healthy alternatives for it? Check these alternatives for iftar or sehri and lose few pounds during Ramazan.
1. BAKE IT!
The main reason for weight gain is usually all the fried food we have for iftar, samosay and pakoray for instance. What can be done best is to avoid it, but if you must have it, try baking it instead. It will taste all the same with lot less calories.
2. A BIT OF EXERCISE
It is imperative to stay active during the fast. Being lazy and staying in bed does not help the weight gain. It is not necessary to do a full work out and cardio, although going for a stroll is always a good idea.
3. NATURAL REMEDIES
Processed foods and drinks at iftar is a definite no-no. Try to avoid the canned goods and sodas as much as you can and opt for natural drinks and organic food.
4. SLEEP BETTER
Yes, the waking up very early for Sehri and spending late hours at night praying, hacks up your sleep time. But since the body is already going through a lot during the day, try getting a good night’s sleep, to reenergize the mind and body.
