Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Member National Assembly Danyal Aziz on Saturday announced to mobilise people through nazims in different districts during Ramazan-ul-Mubarak in order to launch province-wide campaign against the provincial government.

Speaking at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Saturday Danyal Aziz said that had filed two petitions in Peshawar High Court against the provincial government for failure to implement police order 2002 and for not giving funds, powers to nazims in the province.

Flanked by nazims, councillors of different political parties and PML-N MPAs, Aziz said that following preparations during Ramazan; a movement would be launched against the provincial government after Eid-ul-Fitr.

"Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the only province wherein Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is in power and it has failed to establish Public Safety Commission in the province," he said.

He said that in the provincial budget the funds for nazims had been slashed up to 70 percent, withdrawn staff from their offices and curtailed powers of the elected representatives.

The PML-N leader said that there was clear difference in words and deeds of Imran Khan, who had claimed to uproot corruption within 90 days but he could not do so in three years. He also described provincial government's billion tree tsunami campaign (drive to plant one billion saplings in KP) mere a hollow slogan.

"PTI had jailed its own provincial minister (Ziaullah Afridi) as he was in the habit to pinpoint its mistakes and corruption in different departments," Danyal Aziz alleged and claimed that corruption and crime rate was increased in KP during past three years.

He said that after tall claims the provincial government had set up Ehtesab Commission with General Hajid (Retd) as its director general but he was not allowed to take action against those involved in corruption, rather he was forced to quit.

Aziz further said that Bank of Khyber had been looted but still no investigative commission had been formed in this regard. "Who is responsible in Bank of Khyber embezzlement, who removed the chief of Ehtesab Commission and who terminated the files of corrupts" he sought answer from Imran Khan.

Similarly, he maintained that 26 people had been killed during local government election in KP last year but PTI government failed to take tangible step in constituting a commission at least to arrest the people responsible for the bloodshed.

The PML-N leader said that PTI chief was always appreciating police but record showed increase in crimes and corruption since 2013 in the province. He said the developmental schemes were next to nil as 62 hydro power projects had been approved but only four out of the total were present now.

He put three demands before the government to solve them during Ramazan otherwise mass campaign against it would be launched after Eid-ul-Fitr.

The demands include, release of funds to local government representatives (nazims), disclosure of account of Niazi Services (Imran's offshore company), and list of those alleged corrupt people pointed out by Ehtesab Commission.
