SARGODHA: Two activists of a religious party were gunned down while five others sustained bullet injuries on Khushab Road, in city police station area on Saturday.

SHO city police station Khurram Anwar told APP that Maulana Hameed Khalid, along with eleven others in a double cabin vehicle, was going to court for appearing in a case in the morning when two motorcyclists opend fire at them on Noori Gate Khushab road.

As a result, Sana Ullah and Zulfiqar died on the spot while five others including Maulana Hameed Khalid, Abdul Qayyum, Safdar, Dilshad and Amir Hamza received bullet wounds.

The bodies and injured were shifted to DHQ hospital Sargodha. Police are looking into the matter.
