APHC stresses Kashmir resolution for peace in South Asia
ISLAMABAD: All Parties Hurriyet Conference has stressed the need for resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris' aspirations for ensuring permanent peace in South Asia.
According to KMS, APHC leaders, Zafar Akbar Butt, Syed Bashir Andrabi and Syed Saleem Gilani, addressing public gatherings at different places in connection with the public contact programme said that settlement of the long-pending Kashmir dispute was essential to establish lasting peace in the region.
They said that the UN had passed several resolutions on Kashmir that had given the people of Jammu and Kashmir the right to decide their political future by themselves. They reaffirmed then Kashmiris' resolve to continue the ongoing liberation struggle till it reached its logical conclusion.
The APHC leaders also demanded inclusion of genuine representatives of the Kashmiri people in the dialogue between Pakistan and India aimed at resolving the lingering dispute to make the process a meaningful and result-oriented exercise.
