KARACHI:- The procession of Chup Tazia emerged amidst stringent security measures by the law enforcers, from Nishter Park here on Friday.

The Chup Tazia is taken out on Rabi-ul-Awwal 8th, to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hassan Askari.Over 4800 security personnel have been deployed to ensure security for the participants of the Chup Tazia procession.

Three teams of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), also carried out sweeping of the route of the procession.

The security personnel have also been deployed atop the high-rise buildings situated along route of procession.

The monitoring of the procession is also being performed with the help of the security cameras.

The procession after passing its traditional route will culminate at Husainian Iranian Imambargah Kharadar.

No vehicle shall be permitted to proceed along Soldier Bazar road from the junction of Khan Bahadur Naqi Muhammad Khan Road/Bahadur Yar Jan Road while all link-roads have been completely sealed to prohibit the unwanted entry.

Alternate route for the vehicular traffic have also been made to ensure smooth flow of the traffic.
