IRSA releases 33,631 cusecs water for rim stations

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Tuesday released 33,631 cusecs water for various rim stations with inflow of 38,437 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1472.91 feet, which was 94.91 feet higher than its dead level 1378 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 19,800 cusecs while outflow was recorded as 12,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1155.95 feet, which was 115.95 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 5,006 cusecs and 8,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 25,793, 17,170 and 9,430 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 7,100 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 6,531 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
