ISLAMABAD: Off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has achieved another distinction as he has taken most wickets in a calendar year for Pakistan leaving behind Saqlain Mushtaq.

The magician has taken 103 wickets in 47 matches and 52 innings during the year 2013. Previously the record was held by Saqlain Mushtaq who took 101 wickets in 42 matches and 44 innings in 1997.

It is pertinent to mention that Saeed Ajmal also shines with the ball in the on-going series against Sri Lanka at UAE taking four wickets in two T20s, while grabbing Seven in four ODIs so far.
