KARACHI: As part of the security arrangements for the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain, the Army troops have been deployed in the sensitive areas of Karachi and the interior of Sindh, an ISPR official said here on Monday.

He said the troops were deployed in the sensitive areas of Karachi from the Malir Garrison while in the Interior of Sindh from the Pano Aqil Garrison.

The Army troops would be `on call back up support' for the Police and the Rangers whose primary duty is the maintenance of law and order.
