LAHORE: Young Doctors Association(YDA) Punjab after a meeting of their General Council in Jinnah Hospital on Sunday announced to call off strike from OPDs from all the public sector hospitals of Punjab.

Addressing a press conference the YDA leaders including Dr.Syed Nasir Abbas and Dr.Amir Banday Shah said that following the directions of the Lahore High Court,the YDA's General Council decided to call off their strike from Monday,July 9.

They said that LHC had ordered health department to form a committee comprising of representatives of YDA,PMA,MTA and health department officials to announce the service structure of doctors within fifteen days. Therefore,following the directions of the LHC,the YDA leaders announced to call off their strike. All the young doctors will resume their duties at OPDs from Monday,July 9 while the strike from Emergency departments had already be called off by the YDA. APP
