PM Ashraf meets Pir Paghara at Kingri House

KARACHI: The newly elected PM Raja Pervaiz Ashraf reached Kingri House to meet Pir Sabgat ullah Shah Rashdi during his visit to Karachi, Aaj news reported.

Later, talking to newsmen he said that the Pakistan Muslim League Functional (PML-F) is our ally.

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said that in his election as the Prime Minister, the PML-F played a very strong and a positive role.

" For this I have come here to thank him on my on behalf as well as on behalf of the Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), President Asif Ali Zardari and on behalf of the PPP.

The Prime Minister said that Pir Saheb of Pagara also prayed for the success of his government.

He said that he requested the Pir Saheb to pray that his government is able to come up with such a performance in a shorter span of time that could improve the lot of the people, country make headway and the democracy and the Parliament is strengthened.

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said that we want to take along all of our allies in accordance with the vision of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto as well as the political vision and acumen of President Asif Ali Zardari so as to serve the masses.

" Our philosophy is love for all, hatred for none", he further remarked.

Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Adviser to PM on Interior, Rehman Malik, president of PML-F Sindh, Pir Sadaruddin Shah Rashdi, were also present on the occasion.

During the three-days visit PM Ashraf is due to arrive nine-zero today and will also have a telephonic conversation with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain, sources said.

ANP vs MQM

Earlier, today Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh chapter chief Senator Shahi Syed has refused to meet newly-elected Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, given the reason that he (PM) had not accepted his invitation of visiting ANP headquarters.

Shahi Sayed in his statement also said that, Both ANP and MQM are coalition partner and demanded that the PPP should treat ANP like they treat MQM.
