Additional fuel supplied to address electricity shortfall
ISLAMABAD: The Water and Power Ministry, on Sunday, stated that additional fuel has been supplied by by Pakistan State Oil (PSO) to the relevant power plant in order to cater the electricity shortfall. The additional fuel has been provided on the instructions of the Prime Minister.
According to the Water and Power Ministry, the additional fuel will help in producing an extra 1200 mega watt. This increased electricity would add to the current 12,300 mega watt being produced by the power plant.
The concerned ministry further added that the Faisalabad gas thermal power station was also provided with 16 MMC FD gas which has increased electricity production by 65 mega watts.
