CJP separates himself from Bahria town cases
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry isolated himself from all cases regarding Bahria town, a new bench will now hear the cases.
The three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing the case here Friday against the murder of Bahria Town’s guard, when he made an official announcement to recuse himself from all the cases pertaining to Bahria Town.
According to the details, The cases will now be heard by a two-member bench, including Justice Jawad S Khwaja and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain.
The order further stated that Justice Shakirullah Jan is currently presiding over the two-member bench hearing the contempt case against Riaz.
Moreover, the Bahria Town’s guard murder case was adjourned till June 25.
