Malik appointed advisor to PM Gilani
ISLAMABAD: After the disqualification from the Senate's membership Rehman Malik appointed as an advisor to PM Yousaf Raza Gilani on Interior affairs, and a notification has also issued in this regard.
On Monday, Rehman Malik was suspended from his senate membership and he also left his post as the Federal Interior Minister.
Malik had failed to prove to the Supreme Court of Pakistan that he had given up his UK citizenship.
Previously, The court also rejected the documents submitted by Rehman Malik’s lawyer proving that he is not a UK citizen anymore.
Sources said that, Rehman Malik was given the new designation after the consultation with other party members and the decision was taken during a meeting at the Prime Minster house, Islamabad.
Government sources told Aaj news that, Rehman Malik dealing with various issues of Interior ministry, keeping in view that PM Gilani decided to appoint him as his Interior advisor.
