During the hearing Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry showed displeasure over the absence of Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan Maj-Gen Obaidullah Khattak, Attorney General Irfan Qadir and Secretary Defence Nargis Sethi.
Expressing disapproval CJ said that what can be the height of lawlessness when bodies of those are found who were asked to be recovered alive?
He also referred to provincial minister Mir Sadiq Ali Umrani who had said that the FC was involved in the killing of people whereas Justice Khilji remarked whether certain elements were trying to intimidate the court.
The chief justice said that authorities should produce those responsible for the situation before the court or IG FC Balochistan Khattak would be held responsible.
Balochistan chief minister Aslam Raisani also appeared before the court during the hearing today. The court asked about the investigation into the killing of three people on which Raisani told that a murder case has been registered in this regard.
Moreover, Raisani termed Balochistan a peaceful area and said that the overall situation is not actually bad.
