Karachi: Target killing persists; 6 people killed today
Target killings remain on the rise in Karachi city, as six people have been killed up till now, while numerous incidents of aerial firing have been reported all over the city since early morning. Aaj News reported.
Earlier today, a sub-inspector of the Rangers Abdul Hameed Chachar, was shot dead outside his residence in Madina colony, Korangi 2.5. Meanwhile, a man was shot dead, while three other dead bodies were discovered by the police in Mauripur.
According to the police, another incident of kidnapping near Napier road left one person dead and another gravely injured. The victims have not been identified yet.
Two separate incidents of target killing were reported from Korangi area, where a man named Asad Hussain was targeted by unidentified miscreants who barged into his home and shot him to death, while another man sustained bullet wounds in a separate firing incident in Korangi no. 4.
For the past week, Karachi police and rangers have increased the number of snap checks through out the city as target killing is on the rise while ordinary citizens go on with their routine in fear and panic, everyday.
