RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Trial Court on Wednesday indicted three persons including Former minster of Religious affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi in Haj Corruption Case 2010, reported Aaj news.

The Special judge Central Mian Khalid Shabbir indicted the three members Hamid Saeed Kazmi, former additional secretary to ministry of religious affairs Raja Aftabul Islam and former director-general Hajj Rao Shakeel.

All the three members refused to accept the allegations and said that they will prove that the judgement was wrong, therefore the case hearing was adjourned till June 5.

The court also summoned prosecution witnesses on the next date of hearing.

Talking to media after the case hearing, Hamid Kazmi said that the list of witnesses in the case did not have the name of former minister Azam Swati, on whose statement, suo moto action was taken against Kazmi. Court should also summoned them so that everything will be clarified.

Kazmi showed his disappointment on the case development and termed it as a trap against him.

He said that court is under pressure of some groups, while he just hope for a fair and free justice.

Earlier, the trail court rejected Hamid Saeed Kazmi's plea seeking acquittal from Hajj corruption case.

The former federal minister is facing corruption charges in Hajj scandal. He will be formally indicted on May 23. Kazmi had filed a plea under Section 265 to seek his acquittal from this case. His application was rejected by Special Judge Central Mian Khalid Bashir, who ruled the plea was before time as the accused was yet to be formally charged.
