A bomb blast occured in the city of Kohat earlier, killing one person and injuring several others. The blast occurred in a bus full of passengers at FR Jawakai Road in Kohat. Aaj News reported.

The injured have been dispatched to medical facilities nearby and are currently receiving medical attention.

According to police, the explosive material was an Improvised explosive device (IED) which was planted in the bus and exploded when the bus was loaded with passengers.

After the reports rescue teams and bomb squad has also reached the area.
