App launched to order Pizza via Windows phone

Pizza Hut is one of the world’s largest pizza restaurant companies, with more than 13,000 restaurants around the world has launched an application for the windows supported phones. This application is launched by Altine in Australia, collaboratively with Microsoft and Nokia in support.

The application is said to be available on all smart-phones running Microsoft’s windows operating system.

According to reports, Pizza Hut Australia’s head of marketing and food innovation, Anup Jain said, “Currently, mobile phone orders account for 25 per cent of Pizza Hut’s online sales and we anticipate this trajectory will continue as more Australians acquire smart-phones”.

He further said, “Considering digital is a key focus for Pizza Hut, it made complete sense to partner with Microsoft and Nokia in developing an app that can be used across all Windows Phone handsets, allowing more of our customers to order their favourite pizzas directly from their handsets.”

Nokia’s Head of Developer Experience, Nick Abbott said, “Nokia is working closely with Microsoft and the developer community to build a vibrant ecosystem giving Nokia users access to the top, branded apps such as the Pizza Hut app”.

Key features of this newly launched application are:

1. Create or modify pizzas and save them as personalized creations for future orders.

2. It allows customers to create an order in just a few seconds.

3. One touch favourites, so customers can easily order their most-loved pizzas with a single tap.

4. Setting a delivery time so customers receive their pizzas when they want to

5. ‘Live Tile’ countdown timer on your start screen showing the progress of customer’s pizza at a glance
