The Committee of Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) has announced a long march on May 27 against the resumption of NATO supply lines.

The chairman DPC Mulana Sami ul Haq proposed Nawaz to join them in the movement.

During the media briefing in Mansoorah Mulana Sami ul Haq added that, DPC have invited PTI chairman Imran Khan in the movement against the politicians but whenever it comes to national integrity leaders abscond to London.

Talking about PM Gilani, he said "Mr. Gilani have no right to interpret the national decisions as he is no longer eligible for the premiership. Military should also play their part to save Pakistan, he said.

A statement issued by the DPC said that aiding the aggressive US and Nato forces in their designs against Afghanistan and its Muslim population was religiously forbidden. After reopening the supplies NATO will never exit from Afghanistan.

Earlier, The DPC had decided to hold a meeting in Lahore on May 19 to chalk out its plan for action, while the opposition PML-N has also voiced concern over the government’s plans to reopen the supply routes.

Liaqat Baloch who is also Chairman of Steering Committee of DPC suggested that DPC might stage a long march or sit-in at all roots of the NATO supply and would leave no stone unturned to block the supply.

Liaquat Baloch expressed his deep concern over the statement of the Foreign Minister in connection with restoration of NATO supply. “The meeting of Chief of Army Staff Ashfaq Pervaiz Kiani, Afghan General Sher Muhammad Karimi and NATO forces leader General Allen has deepened the concerns of the nation for the security and integrity of the country,” he added.

He said that incumbent regime was illegal and unconstitutional as it had lost its moral right to rule. “It has no right to determine the destiny of the country,” he added.
