PML-N demands four new provinces
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) have forwarded a resolution demanding the inclusion of 4 new provinces. This demand was forwarded within the National Assembly on Thursday.
The resolution favored the inclusion of 4 provinces by stating that the formation of new provinces would bring affluence and development within the country.
The resolution put forward by PML-N includes names of South Punjab, Hazara, Bahawalpur and FATA.
The PML-N has demanded the formation to be under under the article-239 of the constitution.
The resolution was submitted by opposition leader, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, who further added that the PML-N was always in favor of the formation of Southern Punjab province.
Earlier on Thursday, the National Assembly (NA) accepted the resolution regarding the formation of the South Punjab province and also reposed confidence in PM Gilani.
