Multan: Aerial firing in PPP MPA's rally, 1 killed
MULTAN: In the welcome rally of PPP's MPA Usman Bhatti a person was killed during the aerial firing of party's supporters, so as happened in Abdul Qadir Gillani's rally in Multan on Saturday, reported Aaj news.
During the local body elections in Multan's area Hasnabad, People Party's  successor Usman Bhatti's supporter echoed the rally with aerial firing leaving one dead. According to the reports police have arrested two people accused of the conviction.
On the other hand in Multan's NA 151, latest weapons were exhibited for aerial firing in the rally of ex-prime minister Yousuf Raza Gillani's son Abdul Qadir Gillani . This almost half an hour long ultimate display of explosives by the party supporters left the locals in fear. Whereas on the event the police officials appeared as silent spectators.
Its to mention that, Abdul Qadir Gilani, an MPA and son of former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, will contest by-elections for NA-151 Multan, left vacant after his father’s disqualification by the Supreme Court in the contempt case.
According to sources, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) announced the decision of giving the party’s ticket to Abdul Qadir Gilani. Abdul Qadir Gilani will resign from his MPA seat to contest the elections.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had announced the schedule for by-election in NA-151 Multan-IV for the National Assembly seat, which fell vacant following the disqualification of Yousuf Raza Gilani as prime minister.
As per schedule of the by-election the poll will be held on July 19.
