Security high alert in Islamabad, Peshawar
ISLAMABAD: The Security in federal capital Islamabad and Peshawar have put on high alert due to the threat of any terror activities, Aaj news reported.
According to a police official here on Saturday, a new security plan was devised in which additional measures have been taken to meet any eventuality.
In the wake of fresh spate of terrorist attacks across the country, capital police directed to remain high alert to thwart any sabotaging bid in federal capital.
The decision to this affect was taken in a high level meeting held with Interior Minister Rehman A Malik in the chair after the recent suicide bomb blast here in I-8 Markaz on June 13.
Additional police along with armed commandos would be deployed at all entry and exits points including the sensitive places. Moreover, surveillance teams to enhance their activities to keep any eye on suspicious activities of outsiders’ temporary living in and around the federal capital.
Moreover, personnel of Frontier Constabulary have also been deployed at Constitution Avenue in the Red Zone. PPI
