A non-bailable warrant was issued in the name of Shahzain Bugti and 26 of his guards.

Additional Session judge- issued the non-bailable arrest warrants on Friday, in Quetta.

The Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) leader and provincial president, Shahzain Bugti, is charged with possession of illegal arms.

The arrest warrants were issued when Shahzain Bugti and his team of guards failed to appear before the court when their bail was denied, after which, notices were served in their names.

Bugti was arrested by security forces when he was leaving Chaman, in late December, 2010. Huge amounts of illegal arms and ammunition was found under Bugti and his 26-man, heavily guarded, convoy's possession.
