Jordan's Prime Minister quits office
AMMAN: Awn Khasawneh, Jordan's Prime Minister resigned from his office on Thurday. Mr. Khasawneh presented his resignation to King Abdullah II.
Sources have reported that the King accepted the resignation and did not comment any further about the resignation. His early resignation has raised several questions amongst Jordan's population.
Awn Khasawneh was formerly a Judge within the International Court of Justice. On 17 October 2011, he was appointed as the Prime Minister of Jordan by King Abdullah II in order to bring much-needed reforms within the country.
