Sindh: Protest in twin cities over PM conviction
KARACHI/ HYDERABAD: Pakistan people's party leaders and members continue to protest in various cities of Sindh including Karachi over the conviction of Prime Minister Gilani by Supreme court on Thursday.
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders and workers held rallies across Sindh, expressing solidarity with President Asif Ali Zardari and PM Yousaf Raza Gilani over the Supreme court’s decision according to which Premier is convicted of Contempt of Court for not implementing NRO.
Protesters forced the traders to closed down their shops in Badin, Thatta, Nawabsah, Sukkur and Karachi.
The protesters staged sit in outside Press Club in Sukkur and did Ariel firing.
Many areas in Karachi are also effected from the protest including, Lyari, F.B area, Malir, Clifton, Gizri, Orangi Town and others.
The PPP workers were carrying placards inscribed with slogans in support of the Prime Minister.
